Waterfall Workshops

Please join me as I take you to see exciting and adventurous waterfall locations. During the workshop, we will visit many beautiful waterfalls, as many as time allows. In addition to seeing the popular falls, I will also take you to see many of the obscure, out of the way, and not very well known waterfalls. I have extensive knowledge of waterfall locations throughout the west and my goal is to take you to see the best and prettiest waterfalls in the region. Some of these waterfalls may involve a bit of hiking, and a lot of adventure. So if this is for you, please come along!

In addition to seeing exciting waterfalls, my goal is to help you to become a much better photographer. I will teach you what I know, especially as it relates to waterfall photography (and general nature photography as well). You will learn about composition, lighting, exposure, filters, blending images in Photoshop, depth of field, dynamic range, hyper focal distance, and much more.

For 2011 I am offering private 1 on 1 tours to any location of your choice. You will receive extensive 1 on 1 photography instruction plus see beautiful waterfalls, as many as possible. The price for private tours is $400 per day (plus additional travel expenses for locations more than 200 miles from Sacramento CA). For a half day hike (6 hours), the cost is $200 (plus additional travel expenses for locations more than 100 miles from Sacramento). One additional non photographer friend is welcome on the tour. Yosemite NP, Lassen/Shasta area, Eastern Sierra, Southern Sierra, Northern Sierra (Lake Tahoe area), North Fork American River, Columbia River Gorge, Central Oregon, and more.
