All I can say is wow. Lower Middle Fork Tuolumne River Falls is a very special waterfall in a very special location. Although very close to an extremely popular picnic area (and much smaller waterfall), this location is almost entirely unknown, yet is very easy to reach. You will find not one, but three spectacular waterfalls here, at the confluence of the South and Middle Forks Tuolumne River. In the spring, the rivers rage and the mist that is generated from the falls is fantastic. Lower Middle Fork Tuolumne River Falls is an incredible 182 ft. high tiered waterfall, amazingly beautiful, and in a stunning location.
