10 Bridalveil Falls
In the spring, Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite National Park, California, is incredibly powerful. Later in the summer, it is still great, but loses its grandeur after all the snow is melted. It is a short walk from the parking lot to the waterfalls viewpoint, and in the spring, you will get drenched for sure, even though you are still a few hundred yards away from the actual waterfall. Bridalveil Creek flows with remarkable force as you walk up to the viewpoint.
The walk to the viewpoint is paved but not wheelchair accessible. We tried but could not get my dad up the final steep section. There are still other good viewpoints of the falls that are wheelchair accessible.
Other great views of Bridalveil Falls can be found at the Wawona Tunnel viewpoint, Valley View, and road marker V14 (also the viewpoint for Ribbon Falls). Most of the above photos were all taken at around sunset at Artist Point, which is close (and similar) to Tunnel View, though requires a bit of a hike (unlike Tunnel View).
