Faucherie Lake Falls is yet another waterfall along Canyon Creek in the Bowman Lake area. This one is 18 ft. high, dropping into a beautiful deep pool, great for swimming in the summer.
It is a very long and slow drive to Faucherie Lake and the waterfall, too far really for a day trip (though that is what I did). It took almost an hour to drive the 7 miles from the west end of Bowman Lake to Faucherie Lake. We do highly recommend camping at either Faucherie Lake or at Bowman Lake; both of these lakes are very beautiful (Faucherie Lake only has a group campground, however).
To reach Faucherie Lake Falls, just follow Canyon Creek a short distance below where the lake discharges into the creek. From the parking area, climb over the hill to get down to Canyon Creek. The creek and waterfall is created from a man-made dam at Faucherie Lake; do not be confused by the first (probably dry) outlet from the lake that you will cross (before the parking area). Once at the falls, it is difficult to get a decent view of the waterfall on the west side of the creek. It is best to cross the creek as long as it is not flowing too fast.
