Faucherie Lake Falls, aka Canyon Creek Falls, is yet another waterfall along Canyon Creek. This one is about 30 ft. high, dropping into a beautiful deep pool, great for swimming in the summer. In addition to this falls and Bowman Lake Falls, we suspect there may even be other waterfalls along this creek, possibly between Faucherie Lake and French Lake.
It is a very long and slow drive to Faucherie Lake and the waterfall, too far really for a day trip. We do highly recommend camping at either Faucherie Lake or at Bowman Lake; both of these lakes are very beautiful.
To reach Faucherie Lake Falls, just follow Canyon Creek a short distance below where the lake discharges into the creek. It is difficult to get a decent view of the falls on the west side of the creek. I had to get my feet wet and stand in the middle of the creek to take my pictures. The best views would be on the other side of the creek, though the creek was rushing a bit fast to wade all the way across when we were there.
