Directions:Take Hwy #5 to Dunsmuir, 52 miles north of Redding. Take Dunsmuir/Siskiyou exit. Turn north on Dunsmuir Ave., and then immediately left into the small parking area.   Click to view map of Hedge Creek Falls hike

Hedge Creek Falls is a somewhat interesting little waterfall, which is only a short walk down a possibly slippery path from the parking area. Just off of I-5, it is a great little pit stop to make if you are driving through the town of Dunsmuir. It is possible to walk right in behind the falls, and reach out your hand and feel the water coming down. On a hot day, it would be great to take a shower under the waterfall.

On the rare occasions when Hedge Creek is full and overflowing, multiple streams cascade down the cliff face. It is a beautiful and surreal experience.
