Directions:Along Hwy #93 (Icefields Parkway), 55km south of Jasper. Turn on the short marked road leading to the parking lot at the upper falls.

Sunwapta means "turbulent water". Upper Sunwapta Falls is popular with tourists, as the viewpoint is just off the road. The lower falls, just as impressive as the upper falls, is one you have to make a short hike to. It is a little less crowded, as most tourists do not bother to make the trek down to see it. The trail to the lower falls follows along the right (north) side of Sunwapta River.
