Along the way to Kings Creek Falls, the trail passes beside what are called the Cascades, or Kings Creek Cascades. This is a long series of cascades falling about 130 ft. along the creek. The trail steps down the rocks right beside the cascades, and they are captivating. It is not improbable that many people mistake these cascades for the actual Kings Creek Falls, but they are just a prelude of what is to yet come. To reach Kings Creek Falls you need to continue on about 0.2 miles past the bottom of Kings Creek Cascades.
