Along the way to Diamond Creek Falls, you come to Lower Diamond Creek Falls. It is about 0.7 miles from the Salt Creek Falls picnic area. This is a larger and no doubt more spectacular falls than Diamond Creek Falls, but there is no view of it. A viewpoint offers a very long distance view that is completely obscured by trees. It is not even worth taking a picture. The trail continues along the top of the waterfall, and you will be constantly peering over the edge hoping for a decent view, but to no avail. It is really too bad. This would be a great one if you could only see it. It may be possible to reach the waterfall by scrambling, wading, and bushwhacking along Salt Creek to Diamond Creek, and then make your way upstream to the waterfall. Good luck!
