Ribbon Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world, but you will not see it if you arrive in July or later. It disappears rather quickly in the summer. But if you are there in May, it is very impressive. It falls off a cliff next to El Capitan, on the opposite side of the valley from Bridalveil Falls. There are many points in the park to view the falls, but the best is probably just past Bridalveil Falls along Southside Drive at road marker V14. There are no trails to the base or top of the falls.
