We arrived at South Falls early in the morning, but there were still quite a few people starting out on the hike. It is still a great waterfall, plunging over the cliff spectacularly. The trail leads behind the waterfall, which makes for a great experience (one of 4 on this trail you can walk behind). Apparently, in the old days the owner of this site hired some guy to go over the falls (disastrously) in a canoe, and also floated old cars off the top of the waterfall as an attraction. That is just crazy!
