Upper Tuolumne Falls is the first of the marked waterfalls along the Tuolumne River. It is located just downstream of the first footbridge, and consists of a wide but small drop on the river. Since the river is so wide it looks like a very big waterfall, perhaps bigger than it really is. Below this point, the river continues in a big slide until the second waterfall.
